Tetris World Champion, A US Teen

The Classic Tetris World Championship happened in Oregon. There a 16 year old teenager from California won the grand finale.
The iconic computer game of block stacking is 13 years older than him.
Jonas Neubauer was a winner of 7 years in this game. On its 8th year, Joseph Saelee beat him in the tournament.
He told one of the news portals that in 2016 after watching the championship he started playing the game as a hobby. He uses the console the original 1985 Nintendo NES.
He uses this console to play couple of hours each day. He connects it to the TV screen with a blocky cathode ray tube instead of a modern thin screen.
Because of its less latency he prefers to use the old-fashioned monitor. This latency is basically that tiny difference that happens between the controller and the visual.
He said, “My friends are like, ‘what is this guy playing’. Tetris is easy to learn but it can take years to master.”
He also said, “I feel like I could still improve – it isn’t just a one-time thing.”, by mentioning his intention to take part in the competition next year.
