Technical Glitch On BBC Live News

On this Wednesday, 10th October, BBC faced a technical glitch that had stopped its live news broadcast for about an hour. For which BBC had to play some recorded materials on its TV news channels.
BBC also had to play its news, The News at Six and The News at Ten from Millbank studio instead of their usual facilities at New Broadcasting House.
Over the past 6 months, the issue affected OpenMedia, a new computer system rolled out across BBC News outlets.
This fault has been investigated by OpenMedia supplier Annova.
Though engineers believe that now the problem has been addressed by them.
The news of Mark Easton, BBC News Home Editor, rushing to London at the Millbank Studio has been out on social media.
That particular place is used for the daily Politics Live Program, that happens to have angular desk rather than the usual round one.
Although the BBC Website has been unaffected by that glitch.
The BBC World News and BBC News Channel, both were unable to throw live broadcast, from about 15:00 BST, hence they had to reply on their recorded materials.
OpenMedia was designed in such a way that it makes it easier for the reporters as well as other staffs to share their scripts, contacts and running contacts.
It is promised to provide benefits of stability and reliability.
In the past, BBC News has faced issues with the new technology including robot-operated cameras which refused to stay centered on presenters.
